LION OR GAZELLE

“Every morning in Africa, a Gazelle wakes up. It knows it must run faster than the fastest lion or it will be killed. Every morning a Lion wakes up. It knows it must outrun the slowest Gazelle or it will starve to death. It doesn't matter whether you are a Lion or a Gazelle... when the sun comes up, you'd better be running.”

Loyalty

Jan.10 to Sept 10 064, originally uploaded by stopher94.

I’m not from here, and its not hard to tell, yet as I walked to the stadium, I was just another one of the thousands of fans going to show support for the green and yellow. I’m not yet at the stage in which I can call myself a fan yet, holding on to my hopes of playing on the grandest stage in which they play, I guess apart of me believes that if I enter the realm of the fan that it will tarnish my dreams of being the player.
Don’t enjoy it too much, stay hungry, repeats in my mind as the atmosphere intensifies the closer we get to the stadium.......Continue reading here.

Ways to Out-Live

Way #4

Faith, love, and sex are the most powerful of all major positive emotion.  When blended they have effect on coloring thought.  Faith is the head chemist of the mind.  When blended with thought the subconcious mind instantly picks up the vibration, translates it into its spiritual equivalent and transmits it into infinite intelligence as in prayer.  Prayer works.  I challenge you.

Daily Motivations

Bruce Barton says "Most successful men have not achieved their distinction by having some new talent or opportunity presented to them. They have developed the opportunity that was at hand."  Dale Carnegie says "The person who gets the farthest is generally the one who is willing to do and dare. The sure-thing boat never gets far from shore."  One obvious interpretation of it all is that some amateurs built the ark, and professionals built the Titanic. Experts have been predicting the worlds end since Saint Clement 1 in 90 A.C. declared it would end in the first century, but what makes a expert entitled.  Your reputation always precedes you, and your work reverberates into any future considerations anyone will offer you.  What kills a skunk is the publicity it gives itself.  The best expert is the reflection in the mirror, stay humble, and remember the most resilient parasite is an idea.  Your amateur ideas.

Shower Thoughts

A thought was placed for reason, but should we dwell on that? Or the matter-of-fact reason that that thought came back? One day you gon lose and try to blame it on reason, one day the sun'll shine you'll prolly blame that on season. Naw u aint that deep you'll take credit for that, till the cloud blocks you're view, you'll blame me for that...... Read More

No plan survives contact with the enemy.  Setting this precedent early enough in your plans or goals can cushion the pain of resentment and hardships you may have when adversity strikes.  Adversity will strike, know this and prepare mentally, because without preparation you are scripting out your downfall.......  Read More

Great effort brings great reward, mediocre effort brings little to no reward unless you like to settle for the minimum. Whether you work smarter or harder, maximum effort is the way to out-live yourself. Erase fear and the conclusions others may have and be satisfied that you went above and beyond yourself. Winning is not an act, yet a habit, just the same as losing...... Read More

Top 10 Reasons You Wont Succeed This Year

10.  You procratinate.  You leave too much room for other things to "come up", which allows more important tasks to be put aside and more excuses for you to justify it.

9.  You're not educated.  A college degree doesn't secure success, although it can be a first-class ticket to be hired sooner.  Either way, not having a college degree doesnt mean doomsday.  Self educate.  Learn from past experiences, take notes on quotes or great advice and most importantly learn from those that are already succeeding.  In order for one to win, one must be educated.

8.  You look up to the wrong people.  All throughout life we idolize certain people so that they can be role models for us, not understanding their full journey to where they are at.  Study how one fails, just as much as you do on how they succeed.  It will help you when you come across a roadblock.

7.  You're too easily influenced.  You sway from one idea to the next based on one's opinion about your idea.  One of the most resilient parasites of the mind is an idea, and you will accumulate more gratitude out of following through with your ideas, whether wrong or right, more than taking advice from everyone than lends it.

6.  You don't have a game plan.  The only thing more important than Plan A is Plan B.  And the only thing more important than Plan B is Plan C, other than that, thats all you should be focused on is executing your well thought out plan.  If you're strong enough to handle rejection and you feel Plan A is great and the end-all be-all, than you should put all your attention into the first plan.

5.  You're too afraid.  Eisenhower said the only thing to fear is fear itself.  Mark Twain said that the reason he always went out on a limb is because that's where the fruit is.  Being afraid will keep you from evolving into that successful person you dreamed of being.  It should be easier to accept failure, than to accept not trying.

4.  You limit yourself.  The world has as much confidence in you than you have for yourself.  No more, no less.  People would rather see you fail than to see you succeed, get over it.  While people conspire against you to lose, you help them out by saying that you can't/wont do something that could potentially open doors for you simply because it's too hard or unfamiliar territory.  Just think if you were a one-person army "how strong would you be".

3.  You dont think past tomorrow.  You must be aware of the worst that could happen, yet feed upon what's the best that could happen.  Whatever you dwell on will end up driving you into a state of positive or negative thoughts, which in turn will be the determination of how much effort you put into your work.

2.  You're affraid to be passionate.  With great effort comes great reward, but what about those days when you're not feeling up to the challenges like you were.  You must set goals when you're doing less than favorable tasks or when working somewhere you dont want to be.  The sky should always be the limit, but until then you must set goals so that you remain passionate on the journey.

1.  You're emotionally weak.  Everyone with a college degree knows deep down they aren't smarter than the average of those without.  They may use it to their advantage, but even they might not have the most important tool it takes to be successful.  Emotional Intelligence.  Doesnt matter if you have a high IQ or a 4.0 gpa, if you can't manage your emotions you will not succeed.  Life is unpredictable, so at any time things you have no control over, or things you do have control over can try and consume you.  Thats why you hear of stories about people that would of did this or that if it wasnt for this or that.  They might be geniuses, but they were unable to harness their emotions in order to continue their journey.  They relied on drugs/alcohol/relationships in order to get their emotional fix.  Your ability to overcome is the ability to succeed.  If you can't control yourself, then somebody or some circumstance will.

Welcome To My Page!!!!!!

Welcome To My Page!!!!!!        Thank you for taking the time out to view my page. This will be an incredible journey, as you will be able to see through the mind of someone who may not look like you, may not be where you're from, but you may see a reflection of yourself in the accounts of my life, as well as my surroundings, family and friends.
Many times in life we get caught up in the life we live and don’t take the time to reflect on the life we once dreamed of. In my attempts of trying to outlive myself, I hope to inspire or ignite that same passion if only for a second in those that cross paths with my site. If we subtract every physical possession we have, our jobs and the other opportunities we have to gain financially, the only escape is mental peace. All that’s left to gain is energy, whether bad or good, which determines our attitude, which in turn determines our latitude. I want to climb heights so high my fears second-guess questioning me and bring those who look to me for inspiration with me for the journey.
I was born creative, the youngest of four boys, the only thing that allowed me to be the first in the family to graduate was my ability to imagine things before they happened. I've been creating scenes before they've happened or analyzing things I've seen ever since I would watch my older brothers play little league sports. I would come home and sit on the floor with a straw I would bend in half for a waist and use this makeshift man to recreate baseball, football, or basketball games. Little has changed since then and this same vision has helped me picture reactions during presentations I had to give in my business classes as well as picturing myself staying calm as I was tackling the quarterback in front of thousands on Saturday.
After college my vision became blurry. With a college degree in one hand and the murky vision to financially secure my family through professional sports in my eyes, I decided to pursue this opportunity that no one in any of my inner circles in my entire life had done before me. Although I haven’t been able to buy my parents that dream home, I've seen the two of them survive cancer while successfully running a church, my uncle started seven years ago.
I find solace in counting blessings, not counting friends, or money cause the two of them would take a couple seconds and most times I need a lot of time to rebound and put the smile on that most people note me for. I find solace in hearing success stories of those who never had anything. I find solace in this creative spirit I've been given that doesn’t exactly make sense, but it's worked for me. I find solace in knowing that on my class ring in high school, nothing about athletics was mentioned, yet I purposely had an emblem that read "Success" on the side. I envisioned a purpose-filled life, and this is my journey for "Success".
